Our very own Paul McPhee is right in the mix at the British Junior Open, being played at Hesketh in northern England. Leading the European challenge, he shot the best score of the day, when conditions took their toll on many of the competitors.

King James VI junior Paul McPhee, finished an excellent fourth place in the English Boys Under 16 Stroke Play Championship for the McGregor Trophy at High Post in Wiltshire.After leading for the first two days, it was Seb Crookall-Nixon who produced some exhilarating final day golf to go on and win.

King James VI Junior, Paul McPhee, has maintained his lead after the second round in the English Under-16 boys' open stroke-play championship for the McGregor Trophy, played over the High Post Golf Club, Salisbury in Wiltshire.

After a week of closely contested ties, the 36 hole final of the 2008 Scratch Club Championship was contested by Neil Cameron, the leading qualifier, and Fraser Craig, the 2007 Handicap Club Champion.

Dougie Sharp claimed the Handicap Club Championship with a 4&3 victory over Brian Fairley in the 36 hole final played on Sunday 1^st June. With both competitors playing off handicaps of 7 a closely contested final was expected and this proved to be the case in the first round which was played in glorious sunshine.
